If you want to once again practice in a healthcare environment, an RN refresher course from Professional Healthcare Education Service, Inc. (PHES) can help you achieve your goal.
Been out of nursing for a while? Re-entering the nursing profession doesn't have to seem overwhelming. An RN refresher course from Professional Healthcare Education Service, Inc. (PHES) will help RNs and LVNs transition back into their trade and be well prepared.
PHES is a healthcare education company that was founded by two registered nurses in the trade with over 25 years of critical care, medical/surgical nursing, home health, administration and home health experience. PHES is a Houston nursing school offering an RN refresher course focused on providing curriculum for nurses in need of updating or in need of remediation courses due to Board of Nursing stipulations. Our quality instructions are experienced and know how to prepare you to return to work.
The State of Texas Board of Nursing has approved the core curriculum topics for the PHES RN refresher course and our instructors are well prepared.
The PHES RN refresher course, LVN refresher course , and nurse refresher course instructors are currently licensed, practicing RNs with particular expertise in their areas of practice. They are also members of The Texas Nurses Association and The American Association of Critical Care Nurses. Our PHES RN refresher course offers a variety of methods to make sure your educational requirements are met. Our nursing school in Houston provides monthly courses in Houston and several times a year in San Antonio, Texarkana, and the Dallas/Plano area. Some students are also eligible for the RN refresher course correspondence options. PHES also provides Texas, Louisiana and California Board of Nursing approved Remediation courses for nurses with board or peer review stipulations.
When your PHES RN refresher course is satisfactorily completed along with the clinicals, nurses will receive a copy of the Verification of Refresher Program Completion Form. Along with a RN/LVN Reactivation form, copies of the 20 hours of contact hours of continuing re-education credits and any fees, you will be qualified to receive your permanent license to practice in the state of Texas. That is our goal for the PHES RN refresher course: To provide a quality service that produces a satisfied, competent, confident and knowledgeable customer.

If you are looking for an RN refresher course that will enable you to hone your skills and prepare to reenter the workforce after an extended absence, PHES can help. Our refresher courses will give you the specific education that you need to confidently reenter your career as a nurse. All of our courses are approved by the Texas Board of Nursing and are designed to bring you up to speed on any new treatments or technologies that have been introduced while you were away from nursing. We will help you to feel more confident in your nursing abilities and teach you what you need to know to once again provide excellent medical care to your patients.
We limit our classes to just 20 nurses each so that you have the one on one guidance that you need from your instructors. Classes include reviews of the nursing field in general as well as overviews of anatomy and physiology, pharmacology, medication administration, physical assessment, nursing jurisprudence and many others. Your instructor will be with you to ensure that you are gaining the knowledge that you need to confidently work as a nurse once again. Courses begin with DVD studies at home and then move into a classroom setting with laboratory instruction as well.
Once you have successfully completed this part of your Nurse refresher course, you will be ready to move into a clinical setting. We offer two locations for your practicum at the Windsong Nursing and Rehab Facility in Pearland and the Grace Care Nursing Home in Katy. You will work in one of these clinical settings under the supervision of a licensed nurse and provide care to patients. We ensure that all aspects of nursing are covered so that you can effectively hone your skills and refresh your nursing education. Nurses who successful complete our coursework are awarded certificates of completion as well as 20 hours of continued education.
If you have been away from nursing and are once again ready to join your colleagues and provide care to your patients, we can help to get you there. Our refresher courses are deigned to give you the training that you need to work confidently in the medical field once again.
